#GOTeamUp Rules Update August 2020

The fourth official #GOTeamUp tournament is open for registration & there have been some changes to the way things are done including a proprietary tournament structure & signup process on the GOStadium Website as well as introduction of the Group Stage. Full updated ruleset can be found here in the information tab. This blog post is for the most important changes, teams competing will be bound by.

Summary of Rule Changes

  • No more late Double Downs - You lose your opportunity to Double Down if you don't submit your selection by the 24-hour deadline.

  • Guidelines for coordination - What constitutes a coordination attempt.

  • Extensions - Limited extensions will be given, i.e. don't expect a 24-hour extension every round. Extension requests must include an agreed upon time when the match will be completed.

  • Slow play penalties - See full rules for details.

  • New rematch rules - See full rules for details.

  • Group Stage and Elimination Stage - See full rules for details including round limits, scoring, tiebreakers, and seeding.
